Mental health has become a critical issue in the state of Texas. Recent statistics show that in 2018, more than 60% of the state's adults who suffer from a mental illness did not receive treatment1, increasing their chances of chronic medical conditions and fatal consequences, including suicide. According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, between 2000-2015, Texas experienced a 23% increase in the suicide rate2.

"Insight Behavioral Health Centers is pleased to offer the residents of North Texas another option in the fight against mental illness, providing them with services that will solely address debilitating mental health conditions, with care that is customized to each patient's individual needs," says Stephanie Setliff, MD, CEDS-S, Insight Behavioral Health Centers. "Those suffering from a mental health condition are often left feeling exhausted and isolated, but at Insight, patients can expect to find a proven, guided experience that gives them the best possible chance at long-lasting recovery."

The patient experience at Insight Dallas is a four-part journey that provides patients with the skills and tools they need to lead a full and balanced life. This includes guiding a patient into treatment, designing personal recovery plans, empowering their support system and supporting them throughout their ongoing recovery journey.

Each patient's expert care team includes a therapist, psychiatrist and primary care physician, who work collaboratively to develop a customized treatment plan. That plan addresses the patient's unique therapeutic and psychiatric needs, no matter how complex or how many diagnoses he or she may have. The patient learns and practices coping skills within a nurturing community setting so they return home equipped to continue their journey to emotional wellness.

Services at Insight Dallas will include partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). PHP offers comprehensive services eight hours per day during the week and six hours per day on weekends. Patients receive a robust curriculum of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention and Informed Trauma Protocol, with a goal to provide patients with long-lasting recovery and end the cycle of hospital admissions. Apartments are available for out-of-town PHP patients.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) includes three hours of programming per day, three to six days a week depending on the patient's needs. The center's expert care team uses select therapeutic approaches to address a patient's specific needs. IOP is also offered through telebehavioral health programming via the Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program to residents residing in California, Ohio and Texas.
