The free annual event hosted by the Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM) celebrates true heroes — individuals and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providers and doctors, parents and grandparents, siblings and friends. Families will be able to enjoy a scenic 1-mile walk around the Detroit Zoo, live entertainment, games, arts and crafts and photo opportunities with dozens of super hero guests.

Michigan is home to more than 50,000 individuals living with ASD. Registration is now live for individual fundraising and team walkers at www.aaomwalk.com. On the day of the walk, registration opens at 7:30 a.m., the opening ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk starts at approximately 8:40 a.m. Immediately following the walk, attendees are encouraged to participate in post-walk activities at the events pavilion until 11:30 a.m. and enjoy the day at the Zoo.
