IMA Sponsors Autism Hero Walk for Fourth Consecutive Year

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Manufacturing & Assembly (IMA), a joint venture between Comer Holdings LLC and Lear Corporation supplying automotive seat subassemblies and seating systems, will serve as Premier Sponsor of the 4th Annual Autism Hero Family Walk at the Detroit Zoo on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

The free annual event hosted by the Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM) celebrates true heroes — individuals and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providers and doctors, parents and grandparents, siblings and friends. Families will be able to enjoy a scenic 1-mile walk around the Detroit Zoo, live entertainment, games, arts and crafts and photo opportunities with dozens of super hero guests.

Michigan is home to more than 50,000 individuals living with ASD. AAoM seeks to provide specialized, professional help and maximize professional opportunities for affected individuals, raise awareness and increase expectations in schools and the community at large.  More than 34,000 lives in the State of Michigan have been aided by AAoM efforts.

Registration is now live for individual fundraising and team walkers at www.aaomwalk.com. On the day of the walk, registration opens at 7:30 a.m., the opening ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk starts at approximately 8:40 a.m.  Immediately following the walk, attendees are encouraged to participate in post-walk activities at the events pavilion until 11:30 a.m. and enjoy the day at the Zoo.
