PITTSBURGH, June 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/-- Highmark Health, parent company of Highmark Inc., today announced that the company is contributing $25,000.00 to the West Virginia American Red Cross to support their efforts in providing food, shelter, relief supplies and other assistance to the residents of West Virginia who have been directly affected by the severe flooding that struck Friday.
Additionally, to support Highmark Inc. insurance plan members, the company has enacted emergency response protocols. Effective Monday, members can contact or visit a participating pharmacy for prescription refills off-cycle in order to accommodate their health care needs. If members have problems or questions, they should contact customer service at the number indicated on their health insurance card or 800-485-2889.
