Hemp Takes Center Stage at Symposium

Hemp Industry Trade Association of Arizona (HITA) powers Arizona Cannabis Bar Association's (ACBA) First Annual Hemp Symposium

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Aug. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Arizona Cannabis Bar Association's (ACBA) First Annual Hemp Symposium is coming to Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff August 16th.

The event, powered by the Hemp Industry Trade Association of Arizona (HITA), will feature educational opportunities and experts discussing the current outlook for Arizona's burgeoning hemp industry.

The symposium is open to the public, but space is limited. Beginners and established professionals will have the opportunity to attend Continuing Legal Education (CLE) sessions and participate in topical discussions.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, 5 E. McConnell Drive, Castro Building, South Campus, in Flagstaff. Tickets are $49 for early birds, $99 for general registration and $149 for CLE. Lunch is included.

"HITA is excited to bring this educational event to the public," says Sully Sullivan, co-founder and executive director of HITA. "Legal hemp is fairly new to Arizona, and this symposium will shed light on the industry's huge potential for growth."

Former U.S. Congressman Barry Goldwater Jr. will deliver the event's introduction and keynote address. Other speakers include ACBA President Gary Smith, attorney Alex Karam, HITA lobbyist Tory Roberg, ACBA members Tom Dean, Lee Phillips and Sonia Martinez, HITA executive director Sully Sullivan, William Jameson from Bright Orchid Developments and Jan Carlos Byl from Verdant Advisors. Topics include hemp law and culture, the Arizona hemp program, hemp and politics, criminal implications of the hemp program, the marketing, processing and distribution of hemp and hemp in Indian Country.
