In addition to the 10th annual "Walk a Mile" event, Rock the 40th included food, craft beer, and a concert at the Carroll Creek Amphitheatre. With more than 200 participants, a band, two solo artists, four food vendors, two breweries and more than 30 sponsors participating, Rock the 40th was declared a resounding success.
The title of Top Fundraiser Group was awarded to the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ, and Doug Tinder earned Individual Top Fundraiser honors. In addition to the funds that were raised, The Ausherman Family Foundation announced that it will be matching all donations up to $40,000 through the end of the year.
