With 20+ years of IT and marketing experience, Mr. Sakadelis has established himself as one of the industry's primary champions of incorporating new technology into the healthcare ecosystem. He has served as the head of Heartbeat's in-house Technology department for the past 12 years. During this time, he has led the development of a multitude of tech-inspired campaigns for Heartbeat clients, while also establishing Heartbeat's internal innovation team named ETCH—shorthand for Heartbeat "Experiential Technology." It's within the ETCH program that he and his team have been able to incubate innovative new ideas through short cycles of business-driven exploration and experimentation, inspiring the imaginative uses of cutting-edge technologies that have become breakthroughs for both the agency and its clients. Included amongst the many ETCH successes is Heartbeat's EHR Connected Patient Service, which was selected as one of PM360's Most Innovative Achievements of 2018.

The PM360 ELITE Awards were established in 2015 to recognize individuals who have made a significant impact to the healthcare industry. More than 500 submissions were received and nominees were evaluated based on their accomplishments, peer testimonials, and supporting evidence that reflects the impact of their efforts. This is Mr. Sakadelis' first PM360 ELITE 100 Award win.

"Using new approaches to technology that can more effectively engage with audiences and help improve clinical outcomes is what drives my passion for innovation," said Mr. Sakadelis on his PM360 ELITE inclusion. "At Heartbeat, we understand that crafting the types of solutions that can make a difference takes going beyond conceptualization, to deeper dives that prove real-world viability. I'm immensely proud of the work we've done in the Experiential Technology program and the tangible impact it's had for our clients. It's a testament to what can be accomplished through trust, collaboration, and the foresight to nurture a culture of experimentation."

ELITE Award winners will be profiled in PM360's May 2019 issue, and Mr. Sakadelis' full ELITE 100 profile can be seen online at https://www.pm360online.com/elite-2019-tech-know-geek-david-sakadelis-of-heartbeat/. David and the rest of the winners will be honored at a celebratory event on July 16th in New York City.

About Heartbeat: Heartbeat is a full-service agency for healthcare Challenger Brands. Challengers are playing a high-stakes game—they must battle behemoth market leaders, upend ingrained treatment habits, or transform a "me-too" product into "yes-please."

That's the philosophy, here's the creds: 200 employees between NYC & LA; 6 agency leaders with a decade+ of tenure; a pile of awards from the likes of the Mannys, MM&M, OMMA, and Clio, not to mention an Agency of the Year nom to boot; and led by a Managing Director who dared to be quoted as follows: "We celebrate people who stand up and say, 'You know what? This is dumb.'" Damn straight.
