The award is presented by the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) to a Canadian organization in recognition of a world-class Digital Health Care product. Selection for the award confirms Brightsquid as a leader in digital health technology and highlights the company's contribution to healthcare innovation.
Brightsquid's confidential digital communication service service, Secure-Mail, helps healthcare teams collaborate more efficiently and effectively, and allows patients to participate actively in their own care. The importance of Brightsquid's technology was highlighted in a recent Gartner study commissioned by Canada Health Infoway that asserts the Canadian health system can save $1Billion/yr (the equivalent of 155,000 hospital visits) by digitally sharing patient information across the healthcare continuum.
