Health Care and Technology Veterans Fill Key Positions at Burgess

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Burgess, a leading health care reimbursement software provider, announced

today the hiring of Stephen D. Peck as Chief Financial Officer and Roger N. Pricer as Chief Business Development Officer. Both are newly created positions within the company.

Recent expansion of Burgess' product offerings and partnerships has fueled significant growth in the last year.  "Stephen and Roger are valuable additions who bring new energy to the team," said Greg Burgess, president and founder of Burgess.  "Their extensive experience in health care technology and content delivery will help ensure that, as we grow, we continue to provide our clients with the highest level of service and the most innovative solutions."

Peck brings more than two decades of executive-level experience to Burgess. Peck previously held leadership positions at Phillips International, Inc., which he helped grow into the world's largest newsletter publisher during his 10-year tenure. Following Phillips, he was the Chief Financial Officer for American Mobile Satellite Corp. (AMSC), the founders of XM Satellite Radio, and was instrumental in AMSC's funding efforts and leadership.

As founder of the Family Cancer Institute and co-founder of Men Against Breast Cancer, Peck has taken an active role in community leadership. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Chief Business Development Officer, Roger Pricer, has an extensive background in health care and technology that spans more than 20 years. Prior to joining Burgess, he was a partner in Computer Sciences Corporation's health plan consulting practice and held executive positions at health care technology company Bloodhound Technologies, UnitedHealth Group, Inc.'s Ingenix Division and Republic Services, Inc.

Pricer holds a master's degree in business administration from Texas Christian University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri.
