BETHESDA, Md., Nov. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Mytonomy, an enterprise SaaS company and film studio enabling healthcare's digital front door, announced today the release of the Patient Experience Cloud™ for Cardiology and adoption results at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey's largest and most comprehensive health network. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is our nation's costliest chronic disease with the American Heart Association projecting that by 2035, nearly half of the U.S. population will have some form of cardiovascular disease and the associated costs will rise from 2016 levels of $555 billion to $1.1 trillion.

Hackensack Meridian Health, an innovator in delivering high quality patient experiences, selected Mytonomy's Patient Experience Cloud™ and original cardiovascular video content to modernize the education experience for their coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) patient's pre-arrival, in-patient, and post-discharge journey and improve operational efficiency. With the goals of improving patient engagement and outcomes, Hackensack Meridian Health was impressed to see that 89% of their patients opted in to watch an average of 41 minutes of educational video content.

"Deploying Mytonomy for our CABG patients far exceeded our expectations," said Elizabeth Paskas, Vice-President of Human Experience at Hackensack Meridian Health. "In addition to high engagement rates with the videos, we saw 95% patient satisfaction with the Mytonomy solution and improvement in our HCAHPS scores. Providing a 'digital front door' for our patients enabled them to start their engagement at home, before they arrived, and come in more informed, less anxious, and better prepared. Our clinical team got to be more focused in their care delivery roles." Based on this success, Hackensack Meridian Health is also rolling out Mytonomy across oncology, bariatric & bowel surgery, orthopedics, and diabetes.

"Partnering with an innovative health system like Hackensack Meridian Health to achieve these results is a tremendous milestone and honor," Anjali Kataria, Mytonomy CEO and Co-founder said. "Their clinical excellence and collaboration allowed us to implement the Mytonomy Patient Experience Cloud™ quickly, get meaningful results and demonstrate a compelling ROI in improving patient experience."

Being diagnosed with heart disease creates stress and confusion. People look to multiple online sources, including Dr. Google, social media and their friends to learn what it all means. However, the insight and knowledge gained through these methods is often incomplete and inaccurate. Patients are looking for simple answers to complex questions in an easy to understand and consumer-friendly way, from a trusted source.

This is where Mytonomy's microlearning video content and data-driven digital engagement platform excels in meeting patients where they are, at any time, on any device. Built with high-production value, modern, short videos that deliver the information patients need and desire, via an enterprise software platform integrated with their provider's EMR or portal for a seamless patient experience, the Mytonomy Patient Experience Cloud™ for Cardiology delivers powerful results across the care continuum. No apps to download or learn how to use, Mytonomy is designed for today's consumer.

Mytonomy also announces the general availability of the Patient Experience Cloud™ for Cardiology to all health systems and practices, which includes a comprehensive bundle of microlearning videos, combined with condition specific surveys and communication campaign capabilities. The solution includes 228 videos that span an extensive breadth of cardiology procedures and conditions, including:

  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
  • Cardiac Catherization
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs)
  • Electrophysiology areas such as Arrhythmia, A-Fib, Ablation and Cardiovascular Electronic Implantable Devices (CIED)
  • Structural Heart Surgery including Mitraclip and Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery
