Granger Cobb Assumes Chairmanship of Assisted Living Federation of America

New Chairman and Directors are Introduced at 2010 ALFA Conference & Expo

PHOENIX, May 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) today announced that Granger Cobb, president and co-chief executive officer of Emeritus Senior Living, is the new chairman of the ALFA Board of Directors.

Cobb succeeds Tiffany Tomasso, former COO of Sunrise Senior Living, who served as ALFA chairman for the past two years. "Granger is extraordinarily in tune with the challenges affecting senior living and the numerous opportunities that lie ahead for the organization and its members," said Tomasso.

Cobb is joined on the ALFA Executive Committee by Vice Chairmen Loren Shook, president and CEO of Silverado Senior Living, and Mark Ohlendorf, co-president and CFO of Brookdale Senior Living; Secretary Pat Mulloy, president and CEO of Senior Care, Inc.; and Treasurer Skip Comsia, CEO and president of SRC Retirement. Tiffany Tomasso assumes a role on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chairman.

New directors taking office this month are: Chuck Herman, executive vice president and chief investment officer of Health Care REIT; Laura McDuffie, senior vice president for Operations at Sunrise Senior Living, and Blair Minton, the founder of BMA Management, Ltd.

Other directors include Michel Augsburger, president and CEO of Chancellor Health Care; Brenda Bacon, president and CEO of Brandywine Senior Living; Stephen Benjamin, president and COO of Horizon Bay Retirement Living; Sue Farrow, president and CEO of Integral Senior Living; Stephanie Handelson, COO of Benchmark Assisted Living; Brad Klitsch, senior vice president of Market Development, Direct Supply; Mike Leader, president and CEO of Country Meadows Retirement Communities; Bruce Mackey, president and CEO of Five Star Senior Living; and Steven Vick, CEO of Signature Senior Living.
