For nearly 100 years, Lions members have worked on projects aimed at preventing blindness, restoring eyesight and improving eye care for hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Established in 1974, Sadhuram Eye Hospital over the 42 years has performed over few lakhs of various kinds of eye surgeries. Seventy per cent of these eye operations were done totally free of cost to the poorest of the poor of the society. It regularly conducts eye camps benefiting many poor patients.
