BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 21 Flipping for Phonics(TM), the proven fun, fast and easy phonics-based learn-to-read system for children and adults, has teamed up with Fisher House® to donate Flipping for Phonics learning products - equivalent to the retail value of $10,000 - to the children of military families at major military and VA medical centers. In an effort to make the holidays a bit brighter, children currently residing in Fisher Houses due to a hospitalized family member, will receive the learning tools as gifts this holiday season.

The Flipping for Phonics reading system, which offers a simple solution for learning to read based on incorporating the use of word families into the learning process, will be gifted to children staying in more than ten Fisher Houses this holiday season. The products, which feature delightful, humorous stories set to music that everyone can enjoy, will not only make great gifts but will also serve as a special way for parents to spend hours of quality time with their children during this difficult time.

Fisher House(TM) Foundation supports America's military in their time of need by donating "comfort homes" for their families at major military and VA medical centers while their wounded relatives are hospitalized far from home. These homes enable family members to be close to their loved ones while they are treated for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

"We are grateful to receive this generous Flipping for Phonics donation for our military families just in time for the holidays," says Jim Weiskopf, Vice President of Fisher House Foundation. "Having a family member hospitalized is stressful enough on children - not to mention when it happens during the holiday season. This donation will certainly help put smiles on the faces of the children in our homes and help make this holiday a special one," he adds.

"The team at Flipping for Phonics is thrilled to be able to give back and help the families of the men and women that serve our country with this contribution of gifts," says Ellen Steiner, Vice President of Flipping for Phonics. "We hope that the products bring joy to these children in need and also provide parents and grandparents with tools with which to spend quality time with these children in addition to teaching them how to read - the gift that lasts a lifetime," she adds.
