SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- FirstService Residential, Arizona's leading HOA management company, sponsored and participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Chandler at Basha High School on Saturday, April 27, 2019. The Relay For Life fundraiser aims to help communities fight cancer and fund cancer research by donating their time and raising awareness in a 12-hour relay race.
The Relay For Life event was held from 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 through 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 28. There were 25 participants from FirstService Residential, including associates, friends and family. As part of the event, at least one participant had to walk on the track at all times. The team exceeded its initial goal by raising $1,316, which does not include FirstService Residential's monetary donation given as part of the company's corporate sponsorship. Funds raised through Relay For Life are used to provide cancer patients and their families with the resources they need, and the event also serves to honor survivors and remember loved ones.
