Got a Minute or Less to Talk Health Care?
WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Independent Women's Voice (IWV) announces a contest for the best one-minute or less video addressing why Senators and Representatives should vote AGAINST proposed legislation that would radically remake our health care sector, sacrificing what's best about the current system without fixing existing flaws.

At IWV, we are concerned that the health care proposals will make health care more expensive for millions of Americans, raise taxes, increase debt, reduce quality of care, gut seniors' health services, and empower bureaucrats to make life-and-death decisions that should be left up to patients and doctors.

We believe that some of our most vulnerable populations -- the elderly, the sick, the young, and the poor -- will be hardest hit by this massive government intrusion into health care.
We want your help in telling our elected Representatives that they need to oppose this government takeover of health care and go back to the drawing board and focus on actually improving our health care system by putting more power in the hands of patients and doctors!
The video can be anything from you expressing your views to a sketch dramatizing life under government-run health care. It can be serious or funny, whatever you'd like. So dust off your old camcorder, have your family join in and have fun with it!
The winning video submission will receive a $5,000 cash prize, and will be featured on IWV's YouTube channel and iwvoice.org. Winner will be announced at 12 p.m. EST December 22, 2009.
To submit your video:
Send us a video, one minute or less, no bigger than 2GB, along with your full name, phone number, state of residence and the words "I agree to the IWV Video Contest Rules" in the body of the email to [email protected] with "IWV Video Contest Entry" as the subject. The deadline is December 18, 2009 midnight EST.
JUDGING: Contest winner will be determined by whichever video has the most "My choice for winner" comments from unique YouTube accounts at 12:01 a.m. EST on December 22, 2009. The winner will be notified by email and telephone, and announced on iwvoices.org at 12 p.m. EST December 22, 2009.
