Excela Health Selects Allscripts Electronic Health Record for Physicians

CHICAGO and GREENSBURG, Pa., Jan. 8 Allscriptsannounced today that Excela Health, a non-profit health care network servingWestern Pennsylvania, has selected the Allscripts Enterprise Electronic HealthRecord (EHR) for the more than 115 physicians it employs in the Excela HealthPhysician Practices (EHPP).

Excela Health, serving residents of Westmoreland, Indiana, and Fayettecounties, includes hospitals in Greensburg, Jeannette, Latrobe and MountPleasant. Combined, Excela has some 600 acute care beds and a medical staff ofmore than 700 physicians and allied health professionals representing 35specialties. In addition to general medical and surgical care, Excela offersoutpatient treatment and specialty care in areas such as heart disease, cancerand physical rehabilitation.
