Elsevier Acquires William Andrew Publishing

BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, January 20 Elsevier,the world's leading publisher of scientific, technical and medicalinformation products and services, announced today the acquisition of thepublishing assets of William Andrew, Inc. ("William Andrew"). Over the last18 months, Elsevier and William Andrew have built a valuable strategicalliance including print distribution of William Andrew books globallyoutside of North America and electronic distribution of William Andrewcontent on Elsevier's globally renowned electronic publishing platforms:Science Direct and Engineering Village.
