As part of its efforts, Elior North America will help promote healthier eating plans by supporting ADA's Diabetes Food Hub, an online menu-planning tool that helps people living with diabetes feel confident about making healthy food choices without sacrificing taste. In exchange, Diabetes Food Hub will provide an exciting new opportunity for Elior North America to increase consumer awareness of its Right Course line of diabetes-friendly frozen meals.

"Elior North America is proud to partner with the American Diabetes Association to address the growing prevalence of diabetes, which affects more than 30 million Americans," said Chris Ciatto, Chief Growth Officer for Elior North America. "As a company we are committed to improving the health and well-being of the people in the communities that we serve, and this partnership is especially significant because it expands on our ongoing effort to provide delicious, nutritious meals to consumers already coping with or at risk for diabetes."

The culinary management leader introduced the Right Course line in 2018, with award-winning packaging that features easy-to-read nutrition information to help consumers understand what they are eating. Elior North America launched Right Course in 275 HEB grocery chain locations across Texas, where diabetes is the largest health issue facing its customers today.

"Eating is personal, so ADA aims to meet people where they are by providing the information necessary to make the best choices that meet their personal health conditions, preferences and lifestyle," said Sacha Uelmen, ADA's Managing Director of Diabetes Education & Nutrition.

ADA's Diabetes Food Hub features hundreds of recipes that meet its nutrition guidelines, an interactive meal planner and advanced ingredient search capabilities. The Diabetes Food Hub is primarily geared toward helping consumers find recipes they can prepare themselves but also features diabetes-friendly ingredients and ready-to-eat meals like Elior North America's Right Course offerings.
