Eating Disorder Hope Launches Seal of Excellence

Through this interactive initiative that encourages community participation through an online nomination process, Eating Disorder Hope proudly recognizes key contributors to the eating disorder community who inspire hope and healing.

Each quarter, Eating Disorder Hope will honor one deserving party from each of three designated categories, including Non-Profit Organizations, Eating Disorder Professionals, and Community Members. Recipients are recognized on Eating Disorder Hope's website and social media platforms as valued members of the eating disorder community. In addition, recipients can embed the Seal of Excellence badge on their own websites to proudly display this recognition and support from Eating Disorder Hope.

The founding recipients of Eating Disorder Hope's Seal of Excellence have made a profound impact on the eating disorder community through their dedicated work. Project HEAL, founded by Kristina Saffran and Liana Rosenman, is a top non-profit organization that raises funds to send individuals to treatment who could not otherwise afford it. Adrienne Ressler, LMSW, CEDS, is an eating disorder professional who specializes in body image education and advocacy. Shannon Kopp is a prominent community member who recently authored Pound for Pound, which chronicles the impact shelter dogs had on her own eating disorder recovery. In recognizing these and future parties with the Seal of Excellence, Eating Disorder Hope aims to support valued organizations and individuals who go above above and beyond to increase awareness and promote recovery within the eating disorder community. Nominations are currently being accepted for Winter 2017 recipients, to be announced January 15, 2017. Anyone looking to nominate a deserving party for this recognition can do so anonymously on Eating Disorder Hope's Seal of Excellence landing page.
