National 'Hearoes Tour' raises awareness around hearing loss, encourages action toward better hearing health, and gives back to those in need.

INDIANAPOLIS, August 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Eargo, the direct-to-consumer health tech company behind the

award-winning, rechargeable, nearly invisible hearing aid, in partnership with Songs For Sound, a 501c3 charity for hearing loss, is stopping by the nation's largest wartime veterans service organization's national convention: The American Legion 101st National Convention. On August 23-29, 2019 from 8:00am to 3:30pm at the Indiana Convention Center, the Hearoes tour will be offering free hearing screenings, hearing protection and prevention education to all guests.

The national, year-long Hearoes health tour runs through June 2020, and is spreading awareness around hearing loss by providing access to product demos and screening technology while giving back to those in need.

Hearing is our gateway to connection, yet 48 million Americans suffer from hearing loss. Those experiencing hearing loss also wait an average of seven years to take action due to limited education on hearing loss, as well as the costs, stigmas, and misconceptions associated with hearing aids.

The Hearoes Tour is reaching those at high risk of developing hearing loss through targeted routing and events, while simultaneously educating the public on the early signs, health risks, and solutions associated with hearing loss. The tour provides access to state-of-the-art screening technology, fittings for Eargo hearing aids, checklists to navigate the hearing loss journey, and more. The tour also empowers attendees to give back to those in need: for every Eargo purchased after visiting a Hearoes Tour location, Eargo will donate a pair to someone in need (from July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020).
