SHOREVIEW, Minn., Feb. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dymedix Diagnostics, Inc. announced today that it will exhibit its industry leading line of sleep diagnostic sensors at the AASM sponsored course Sleep Medicine Trends 2019: Reimagining Sleep Medicine to be held at the Hilton Anaheim on February 15th through the 17th in Anaheim, CA. Dymedix manufactures respiratory effort, airflow and snore sensors based on a revolutionary material called polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) which is technologically more advanced than traditional sensors and offers advantages in linear quality, speed, size, weight, flexibility and disposability.

PVDF is a material used in multiple industrial, commercial and military applications due to its unique and impressive properties. PVDF is inherently reactive to heat and force, making it an extremely fast, sensitive and accurate sensor for both thermal and pressure stimulus from airflow as well as pressure and strain stimulus from respiratory effort. The film is extremely thin and lightweight, and can be modified into multiple sensor configurations at a fraction of the weight and bulk of traditional airflow and respiratory effort sensors. This same aspect also allows for it to be used in the production of completely disposable sensors which conform well to the growing shift away from reusable sensors as a result of increased infection control standards.

Dymedix has led the way in introducing PVDF to the sleep diagnostic testing community and continues to find new and innovative applications for the technology that improve safety, comfort, reliability, accuracy, convenience and value for the sleep testing centers. The company has worked hard to obtain objective validation and AASM compliance for its complete line of sensor products. Dymedix looks forward to the opportunity to present them at this event and provide education and innovative options to the clinicians and researchers in attendance. http://www.dymedix.com
