BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CME Outfitters (CMEO) is excited to announce an upcoming live and on demand webcast entitled, Streamlining Preventative Health for Patients with IBD Through Effective Care Models, Evidence-Based Guidelines, and Patient Engagement, moderated by Miguel Regueiro, MD, AGAF, FACG, FACP, Cleveland Clinic's Chairman of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Regueiro will be joined by Gil Y. Melmed, MD, MS and Eva M. Szigethy, MD, PhD for a panel discussion that will integrate video recorded at the Cleveland Clinic to illustrate the concepts of the IBD medical neighborhood—engaging patients and community providers to ensure screenings, vaccinations, and mental health care are routine parts of practice. This live webcast, supported by an educational grant from Pfizer Inc., will premiere on Thursday, March 28, 2019. The live presentation will air from 12:00 – 1:00pm with 30-minute Q&A session to follow at 1:00 to 1:30pm ET, where participants can submit their questions to be answered by the faculty in real time.
CME Outfitters continues the commitment to their mission of integrating digital health into education for use inside and outside of clinical practice. Digital health coaching will be offered at no charge to the first 100 clinicians to provide additional support and education to their patients between clinical visits to promote positive, long-term outcomes. Patient reported outcomes and feedback will be collected to assess improvements in vaccination and preventative health literacy, shared decision-making and mental health outcomes.
