Before being named president and CSO at Takeda San Diego, Dr. Wilsonserved dual roles as vice president of structural biology and vice presidentof business development. Prior to joining Takeda, he also spent a decade withVertex Pharmaceuticals co-leading drug discovery programs and significantalliance projects.
Dr. Wilson has formal training in protein X-ray crystallography, and has adoctorate degree in physics from the University of Oregon and a bachelor'sdegree in physics from Colby College, where he graduated magna cum laude andwas awarded the William A. Rogers prize in physics. Dr. Wilson is acontributing author on more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and co-inventorof six issued U.S. patents covering multiple drug candidates.
