Signs & symptoms

People who are likely to travel are most vulnerable. Pregnant women and young children, children with lethargy, low appetite, and breathing difficulty are also considered in the high risk category. People with poorly managed chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, heart and other respiratory problems are at greater risk. People affected by Swine Flu may show signs of redness of eyes, high grade fever, loss of appetite coupled with diarrhea and vomiting.

Care and prevention of Swine Flu

As a precaution, intensified screening and surveillance for all viral infections should be carried out along with vaccinating high-risk groups, people affected with common cold and suspected fever should stay at home and take plenty of hot and nourishing fluids.
