What: Nominations are now being accepted. Companies will be selected based on percentage revenue growth over fiscal years 2006 to 2010. To be eligible for Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 companies must:
- Be in business a minimum of five years.
- Be headquartered within North America. Subsidiaries or divisions are not eligible unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded.
- Have fiscal year 2006 operating revenues of at least 50,000 U.S. dollars or Canadian dollars, and fiscal year 2010 operating revenues of at least 5 million U.S. dollars or Canadian dollars.
- Own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not satisfy this requirement. Consulting companies, professional service firms, and resellers are not eligible unless a majority of the company's operating revenue is derived from product sales that incorporate the company's proprietary technology, exclusive of related service revenue.
- The Fast 500 ranking will continue to disclose percentage revenue growth but will no longer disclose current and base year revenue amounts. Participants will continue to be required to provide revenue support.
