New movie and website educate the public about dietary health

SALT LAKE CITY, May 22, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Purjes Foundation, a private charitable trust established by

Dan and Edna Purjes, is educating people about how they can reverse and prevent chronic diseases through a whole foods, plant-based diet.

This month the Purjes Foundation released a new feature-length documentary, "Eating You Alive" in over 600 theaters across the United States. It has been very well-received by audiences, and additional showings in the USA and abroad are being scheduled.

The film, directed by Paul David Kennamer and produced by Merrilee Jacobs, dramatically demonstrates the power of a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle to reverse the most dreaded diseases we face.

In many gripping interviews of patients and physicians, "Eating You Alive" shows how deadly diseases are reversed. Even diseases that often seemed terminal and hopeless — breast cancer, ovarian cancer, renal cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies and other ailments—all reversed by converting to a whole foods, plant-based diet.

Dan Purjes, the Executive Producer of the film, explains, "Millions of people are suffering and even dying needlessly – their chronic diseases can be reversed and prevented by adopting a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle. I have personally experienced this by reversing my cardiovascular disease after a heart attack, and I have helped others reverse their diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity and other diseases.'

The Purjes Foundation also launched a new website (http://www.PurjesFoundation.org) with information about clinical trials and other research studies related to whole foods, plant-based disease reversal and prevention.

"If we can change existing attitudes and behavior about food, it will have a direct and positive impact on health," concludes Purjes.

The Purjes Foundation mission is to fund greater public awareness to the benefits of a plant-based, whole foods lifestyle. They achieve this by funding documentary films, clinical trials, medical journals and other health-related projects.
