MCHENRY, Ill., Aug. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- D-R Burton Healthcare announced that Intalere has awarded an agreement for their Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure devices, iPEP® and PocketPEP®. The agreement provides negotiated pricing to Intalere members and was awarded after the iPEP and PocketPEP were displayed at the Intalere Emerging Technology Expo held during the company's annual member conference.
The iPEP system uniquely combines OPEP and Incentive Spirometer therapies to address all three respiratory needs: lung expansion, treatment of atelectasis, and secretion clearance. "The iPEP takes the mystery out of secretion clearance by providing patients and healthcare providers with feedback that measures the patient's inspiratory capacity during OPEP therapy," according to Dennis Cook, BSRT, RRT, and CEO of D-R Burton.
The iPEP system includes a palm-sized PocketPEP®, a compact OPEP device ideal for patients to use at home to help prevent pulmonary-related readmissions. The PocketPEP is also available separate from the iPEP.
