MIAMI, Oct. 13 -- D. Porpoise Evans, a litigation associate in the Miami office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., has been named among the “40 Under 40” outstanding lawyers of Miami-Dade County by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). The 40 lawyers will be honored at the CFF benefit dinner on November 20, 2009 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “40 Under 40” honors the rising stars of Miami-Dade County for their commitment to improving the community and for their dedication to providing outstanding legal service.
Evans focuses his practice on litigation, counseling public and private companies and representing their interests in connection with government investigations and commercial disputes. In May 2009, he was honored for his pro bono work in South Florida with the newly created Community Advocacy Award from Put Something Back, a joint pro bono project of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and the Dade County Bar Association.
