Keynote speaker Mark McClellan, MD, PhD, Director, Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, kicked off Crossroads with a session addressing how to successfully navigate the medical, economic and social issues surrounding current patient access policy, while also discussing ways in which consumers can take better ownership of their treatment.
Crossroads featured 28 speakers, 12 sessions, and three panel discussions. The sessions and panel discussions highlighted crucial Medicaid issues, including pharmaceutical trends, healthcare reform, federal and state regulations and state concerns.

The Extra Mile Award is a prestigious honor created to recognize former or current state Medicaid officials who have shown continual concerted effort in doing or achieving something above what is expected. Their leadership qualities are esteemed by their peers and colleagues.
Speed networking, a unique way for drug manufactures and state Medicaid officials to connect and network, was also debuted at Crossroads.
