Crossroads: An Artia Solutions Conference Brings Together Drug Manufacturers, State Medicaid Officials, Advocacy Groups

Recipients of the Extra Mile Award Announced

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nearly 250 attendees convened at the brand-new JW Marriott Nashville

on November 7-9, 2018, for the inaugural Crossroads: An Artia Solutions Conference.

Keynote speaker Mark McClellan, MD, PhD, Director, Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, kicked off Crossroads with a session addressing how to successfully navigate the medical, economic and social issues surrounding current patient access policy, while also discussing ways in which consumers can take better ownership of their treatment.

Crossroads featured 28 speakers, 12 sessions, and three panel discussions. The sessions and panel discussions highlighted crucial Medicaid issues, including pharmaceutical trends, healthcare reform, federal and state regulations and state concerns.

John Stancil, Director of Pharmacy and DMEPOS Programs at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Nancy Nesser, Director of Pharmacy at the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, and Kelli Newman, Director of Pharmacy at the Alabama Medicaid Agency, were awarded the Extra Mile Award on Thursday, Nov. 8.

The Extra Mile Award is a prestigious honor created to recognize former or current state Medicaid officials who have shown continual concerted effort in doing or achieving something above what is expected. Their leadership qualities are esteemed by their peers and colleagues.

Speed networking, a unique way for drug manufactures and state Medicaid officials to connect and network, was also debuted at Crossroads.
