"We've had tremendous growth with Cossette Health by combining digital, science and a human-centred approach. It became very clear that we needed something even more specialized in the vertical," says Pierre Delagrave, an original founder of Cossette and the President of Gene. "We're excited to give ourselves an entirely new identity that supports our purpose."

Gene will continue to be led by Managing Director Joe Dee, who brings a unique mix of health, digital strategy, product innovation, and integrated communications.

"What we're learning is that health and wellness is more than category, it's at the core of what people, companies, and society need to thrive." says Dee. "Gene can help organizations of all sectors and types understand and act on this new reality."

Dee is supported by a leadership group consisting of Anya Kravets, Luc Quartarone, Andrew Stewart, Paul Jara, and Réjean Fortin.

As part of the launch, Gene is adding a formal consultancy offering, led by Anya Kravets. Kravets brings core health care experience from several senior roles at leading organizations in the private and public sector, including Edelman, Hacking Health, and Johnson & Johnson. She is currently completing the Rotman Global Executive MBA in Healthcare & Life Sciences and was recently published in Augmented Health(care)™.

"A lot of our work has led us to a consultancy role of how to deliver successful health and wellness experiences in digital channels," explains Kravets. "This is a key area we feel we can provide unique value to our clients. It's beyond digital transformation or building digital products – it's about digital health delivery."

Gene will focus on servicing the North American market. For more information, please visit www.geneglobal.com.
