Innovative program will deliver medical marijuana products directly to patients, eliminating barriers to access in 11 counties

NEW YORK, Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Care NY, LLC, a subsidiary of Columbia Care, LLC, one of the nation's

leading medical marijuana companies, announced the expansion of its delivery service for patients and caregivers to five additional New York counties. Through this expansion, home delivery services will be available to registered patients and their designated caregivers in 11 counties, now including Cayuga, Onondaga, Nassau, Suffolk counties and Richmond County/Staten Island. The service will cover a large portion of Central New York's major cities including Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse and now makes delivery available throughout Long Island and Richmond County/Staten Island.

"Columbia Care is proud to lead the way, demonstrating its commitment to providing access to all New Yorkers through continued innovation and by improving its product offerings and services," said Nicholas Vita, CEO of Columbia Care. "Home delivery provides a way for patients—especially those who are homebound or battling chronic, debilitating illnesses—to receive the medications they need without barriers or burdens of travelling to our dispensaries. The resounding success of our delivery service thus far has led us to expand into these additional counties, with the goal of eventually providing access throughout the state to all registered patients and caregivers. Our top priority is ensuring that our patients receive the medicines they need to improve their quality of life. This expansion reflects a significant step towards achieving that goal."

Columbia Care will provide delivery service to any certified patient or designated caregiver residing in one of the listed counties who is unable to access transportation or has mobility issues making visiting dispensaries difficult. Delivery will be available to patients and caregivers who have previously completed transactions at Columbia Care dispensaries or who have completed Columbia Care's HIPAA-compliant video consultation

Effective October 8, 2017 Columbia Care will begin coverage of Upstate New York counties to include Cayuga and Onondaga in addition to the existing Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, and Wayne counties.

Effective November 6, 2017 Columbia Care will begin coverage of Long Island counties to include Nassau and Suffolk counties and Richmond County/Staten Island.

Columbia Care is proud to operate one medical marijuana manufacturing facility and four dispensaries throughout New York State, with locations in New York City, Plattsburgh, Riverhead and Rochester. The Company's mission is to improve lives and communities through research, education, partnerships and the responsible use of its products.
