MELBOURNE, Fla., Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS is excited
"Our practice is already one of the most experienced with nonsurgical body sculpting treatments," says Dr. Clevens. "We were among the first in the nation to launch SculpSure, an FDA-cleared laser technology that uses heat to 'melt' the fat cells in the treated area. Now, we are excited to add CoolSculpting 2.0 as another option for men and women looking to meet their aesthetic goals without surgery or downtime. Because we are unique in offering both of these proven technologies, we can provide a candid assessment for patients who want to know which treatment can benefit them more, or even combine the two technologies for optimal results."
CoolSculpting was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2010 as a safe method for reducing isolated pockets of resistant fat. The noninvasive technique is based on the science of "cryolipolysis," using cold temperatures to freeze and destroy fat. Without harming surrounding healthy tissue, CoolSculpting damages fat cells, which are then metabolized and eliminated by the body naturally. The treatment can address isolated fat almost anywhere on the body, including the abdomen, flanks or love handles, inner and outer thighs, the lower back, upper arms and submental fat, also known as the double chin.
While CoolSculpting has always offered dramatic results for patients, the latest version of the technology available at Clevens Face and Body Specialists is even more effective and streamlined. The procedure now takes only 35 minutes to perform – about half the time of a session with an older device. With a selection of uniquely designed applicators, each contoured CoolSculpting hand-piece fits snugly against the target area, allowing for cooler temperatures, a more comfortable procedure and more consistent results. A single session can eliminate 20-25 percent of fat in the targeted area, and patients often choose to have multiple CoolSculpting treatments to optimize their outcome.
To help interested men and women learn more about their options for nonsurgical body contouring, Clevens Face and Body Specialists will host a "Fire + Ice" event on Thursday, September 20 at 6 p.m. at 707 W Eau Gallie Blvd in Melbourne. The event is complimentary and open to the public. Because space is limited, guests are encouraged to RSVP online at http://www.drclevens.com or by calling (321) 727-3223.
