WASHINGTON, Aug. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Children's National today dedicated its hospital research atrium as the GEICO Cares Atrium. The naming is in gratitude for GEICO's longtime support of Children's National, which will continue as the company targets annual giving totaling $500,000 per year. This philanthropic support helps ensure that children in the Washington, D.C. region can receive world-class care regardless of illness, injury or ability to pay.
Kurt Newman, M.D., president and CEO of Children's National, and Bill Roberts, president and CEO of GEICO, were present for the dedication, along with employees from both institutions.

GEICO associates at its Chevy Chase, Maryland, headquarters led a summer-long series of fundraisers. Their spirit of collaboration also is realized in the GEICO Cares Atrium, which is a space for physicians investigators and others to gather and brainstorm new ideas in pediatric health. The atrium is located on the fifth floor of the hospital's main campus on Michigan Ave. NW.
