Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to Benefit from ChoicePoint(R) Windward Challenge

ALPHARETTA, Ga., Aug. 23 ChoicePoint (NYSE: CPS)today announced its eighth annual Windward Challenge charity 5k, scheduled forWednesday, September 12, at 6:30 p.m., will support Children's Healthcare ofAtlanta.

The ChoicePoint Windward Challenge regularly features competitive runners,not-so-competitive runners and families with strollers and dogs. This year, araffle will be held for a free domestic coach ticket, courtesy of Delta AirLines.

In seven years, the ChoicePoint Windward Challenge has allowed the companyto gather its Windward area corporate neighbors and raise more than $400,000for a common cause. Last year, the race raised more than $92,000 and drewmore than 400 participants to support SafeAmerica and the Atlanta YWCA'sTechGYRLS initiative.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is recognized for excellence in more than30 pediatric specialties, including cancer, cardiac, neonatal, orthopedic andtransplant care. Child magazine ranks Children's as one of the top fivechildren's hospitals nationwide and Children's is among U.S. News & WorldReport's top pediatric hospitals.

"Without the generosity of donors, Children's simply would not be able toexpand facilities and enhance services critical to meeting community demand,"said James E. Tally, president and chief executive officer of Children'sHealthcare of Atlanta. "In fact, the demand is a significant one: Atlanta'spediatric population is one of the fastest growing in the U.S. and is expectedto increase by 120,000 in the next three years.
