PLANO, Texas, Jan. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Center for Dermatology and Cosmetic
With this expansion, comprehensive Dermatology services for all age ranges from children to the elderly will be offered with the latest technology in the field. Services include Dermatologic surgery, including Mohs, cosmetic treatments including Botox, fillers and laser, allergy testing, hair loss treatment, and light treatments for skin disorders (avoiding side effects that oral pills can cause). The practice now offers the most advanced dermatology systemic medical record system available, as well as computerized check-in for increased efficiency and better office flow.
The growing staff now includes eight board-certified Dermatologists, two with advanced fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic surgery (a specialized technique to remove skin cancer with high accuracy and less tissue) and two with advanced fellowship training in Dermatopathology. (reading slides under the microscope). The additional and specialized training of the physicians and ability to collaborate and develop treatment protocols together is a great and unique asset to patient care in our practice.
Center for Dermatology and Cosmetic Laser Surgery has seen significant growth in the past two years after partnering with U.S. Dermatology Partners, a leading Dermatology support group which enhances the administrative and business functions of top notch Dermatology practices both within and outside of Texas. This partnership allows the physicians to focus on patient care and use the highest quality standards operationally.
"The practice has grown to meet the needs of our community by adding highly trained physicians from premier training programs and adding ancillary services so we can provide everything within the same practice," says Dr. Bryan Selkin, lead physician at Center for Dermatology and Regional Medical Director for USDP. Patients can now receive nearly all aspects of Dermatology care in one office and avoid driving around and having to check on insurance coverage continually.
Within the new office space, Cosmetic Dermatology has dedicated space for a wide variety of the newest and safest procedures. Using a health and wellness philosophy, individualized treatment plans are devised based on current trends in the field that our physicians feel are most supported by their colleagues and research. Center for Dermatology is one of the few practices in the Metroplex to offer a large phototherapy area for light treatments for vitiligo, psoriasis, eczema, and other specific conditions. This allows patients quick access during an expanded choice of time periods in a given day, and assistance with insurance approvals.
"Our primary interest is to provide outstanding care," says Dr. Selkin. "Having physicians and patients place their faith in us by referring their patients, family and friends and voting us as a top practice is what makes us enjoy what we do so much on a daily basis."
