LAS VEGAS, Mar. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Center for Behavioral Health (CBH), a nationally accredited outpatient treatment facility, today announced it was awarded Opioid State Targeted Response (STR) Integrated Opioid Treatment and Recovery Centers (IOTRC) Grant to help combat the opioid crisis in the state of Nevada. Specifically focused on Las Vegas and Reno communities, CBH is expanding its scope of services to coordinate a patient's first contact with treatment providers. The STR Grant provides a vital link for CBH to be proactive in identifying, diagnosing and setting patients struggling with opioid addiction on the road to recovery.
Center for Behavioral Health has four treatment centers through the state of Nevada. Each facility is staffed by highly qualified physicians, nurses and licensed and Master-level counselors. It was CBH's breadth of patient-oriented services, community alliances and the ability to identify the steps necessary to address Nevada's growing opioid addiction population that earned CBH the STR grant.

By identifying and diagnosing a patient at first contact, CBH can better prescribe a treatment program that is going to lead to recovery that is aligned to the specific needs of the individual patient. Specifically, the STR Grant improves CBH's services to bolster the care of patients that suffer both mental and opioid addiction, while providing peer-to-peer support, and increasing its engagement with the medical and law professionals that are often a patient's first point of contact. Now, instead of waiting for the patient to come into a clinic, CBH is working with medical and law enforcement on the front lines. CBH can immediately identify a patient's problems and make recommendations on the best course of treatment for their specific ailment and addiction. This community approach allows patients to receive the best treatment from Nevada's entire medical industry.
CBH has been closely tied to the Nevada community for many years. With four facilities throughout Las Vegas and one in Reno, CBH has been able to lead thousands of patients to recovery. CBH has found that after entering treatment, opioid patients are more employable, 80% report no illicit opiate or heroin use and patients have reported a significant drop in legal troubles.
