BOTHELL, Wash., Nov. 30 Cardiac Science Corporation (Nasdaq: CSCX), a global leader in automated external defibrillator (AED) and diagnostic cardiac monitoring devices that connect to electronic medical record (EMR) and hospital information systems, today announced a partnership with eClinicalWorks, a leading provider of EMR systems.

As a result of this partnership, 30,000 eClinicalWorks physician users across 5,000 medical practices now have the ability to connect their Quinton and Burdick ECG, cardiac stress test, and Holter systems with the eClinicalWorks EMR. Similarly, Cardiac Science's installed customer base of more than 65,000 diagnostic monitoring devices can connect with eClinicalWorks and be assured the test results will flow smoothly into the medical record system.

"Our physician customers want Cardiac Science's market-leading cardiac monitoring devices to connect with leading EMRs," said Dave Marver, Cardiac Science president and chief executive officer. "This partnership gives our large existing customer base the opportunity to choose eClinicalWorks as their practice EMR."

Using Cardiac Science's HeartCentrix® connectivity solution, physicians will have the ability to send data from their diagnostic and monitoring devices into the eClinicalWorks EMR. The HeartCentrix solution can be installed with either a new eClinicalWorks EMR implementation or into an existing eClinicalWorks system.

eClinicalWorks CEO Girish Kumar Navani added, "Partnering with Cardiac Science, makes great business sense as it is a leader in diagnostic and cardiology devices, bringing ECG, Holter, cardiac stress and automated external defibrillator products into the physician office. With our partnership, each existing and new Cardiac Science customer has another reason to confidently choose eClinicalWorks for their EMR solution."
