Despite hurdles, company launches multi-media campaign to discuss alternatives to smoking
TORONTO, May 9, 2018 /CNW/ - 'Your Right To Know' (yourrighttoknow.ca) is born from the idea that Canadians have a right to know about smoke-free alternatives such as e-cigarettes or heated tobacco products.
New laws will make it more difficult
'Your Right To Know' is an advocacy initiative led by Rothman, Benson and Hedges Inc. The goal is to make Canadians aware that if they, or their loved one smokes, they might not have all the information they need to make an informed decision about the alternatives available to them.
What we want is an open dialogue and the ability for consumers to have access to information so they can make an informed decision about their choices.
"It is going to be even harder to learn about alternatives to smoking. It would be terrible for someone to continue smoking simply because they weren't aware that these products exist," said Peter Luongo, Managing Director of Rothmans, Benson and Hedges.
Beginning May 7th, 'Your Right To Know' will be launching a pro-active multi-media campaign, including billboards and online banners across the Greater Toronto Area.
