On-Site Medical Practice Extends COPC Care, Expertise to Residents and Community

DUBLIN, Ohio, April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Friendship Village of Dublin, a premier

non-profit retirement community offering Lifecare services, is slated to become the first of its kind in Central Ohio with a full-time, private medical practice on-site operated by Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC). The practice, named COPC at Friendship Village of Dublin, will begin delivering care to patients on April 1, 2019.

The practice will provide general primary care services, such as health and wellness programming, disease prevention, physicals, screenings, vaccinations, counseling, and the diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses and injuries. As part of the COPC network, the practice will extend access to specialists and other referral programming to ensure all health needs are addressed.

"COPC is a well-regarded health services network that understands the healthcare needs of seniors," said Rita Doherty, executive director of Friendship Village of Dublin. "When our residents choose COPC as their primary care provider, they'll have convenient, on-demand access to their personal physician as well as specialists, educational programs and resources provided by the extensive COPC network."

Primary care physicians with this new practice include:

  • Jason P. Cappuzzello, D.O.
  • Julie A. Colella, D.O.
  • Srikanth Kesari, M.D.
  • Adam Rush, M.D.

The practice will offer COPC's Senior Care Advantage program, which allows the flexibility to choose a health plan from one of four participating insurance companies while maintaining access to innovative care, wellness and health education services, and care coordination resources.

"COPC is invested in keeping our patients' best interest at heart while maintaining the highest level of medical excellence," said Dr. Donald Deep, M.D., COPC Hospitalists. "Similarly, Friendship Village of Dublin has a long history of offering exceptional Lifecare services, including assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care support. Bringing our organizations together will allow us both to better serve seniors living in Central Ohio."
