News center creates direct line between reporters and CARF's subject-matter experts

TUCSON, Ariz., Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Imagine jetting to Paris to discuss

cutting-edge research and techniques in rehabilitation medicine, to the Netherlands to help eradicate suicide, to Washington, DC, to sort out the most influential law in years to affect child welfare. The directors of CARF's accreditation areas don't have to imagine. They regularly traverse the globe to plug in to top trends and ideas affecting the health and human services industry.

CARF's quality standards reflect the fruits of these travels. And now that knowledge is being made more available to media and reporters.

CARF's revamped news center includes profiles of CARF's subject-matter experts, with decades of combined leadership experience in their respective fields. In addition to short biographies and examples of recent media appearances, the profiles include a contact form for each CARF expert so members of the media can request information directly.

CARF experts with profiles are:

  •     Leslie Ellis-Lang, managing director of child and youth services
  •     Michael Johnson, managing director of behavioral health
  •     Christine MacDonell, managing director of medical rehabilitation and international aging services/medical rehabilitation
  •     Deborah Witham, managing director of public policy

The expansion of our news center complements CARF's vision statement: "Through responsiveness to a dynamic and diverse environment, CARF serves as a catalyst for improving the quality of life of the persons served." It is also in pursuit of this vision that CARF's managing directors spend roughly 60 percent of the year on the road engaging with providers, advocates and policymakers.

CARF has been accrediting health and human service organizations since 1966. Reporters and members of the media interested in more information may contact CARF at http://www.carf.org/News. Payers and regulators, contact us at http://www.carf.org/contact.
