LEWISVILLE, Texas, March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AppleGate Recovery, a division of BayMark Health Services, announced
The impact of the opioid epidemic in Ohio has been significant. There were 4,854 unintentional overdose deaths reported in 2017 across the state. The increased use of illicit fentanyl, carfentanil and heroin, combined with the misuse of other opioids, are continuing to drive the significant numbers in need of opioid use disorder treatment.
"The catastrophic damage caused by the disease of addiction to individuals, families and communities across Ohio can begin to be repaired by the growing presence of evidence-based treatment options," said Dr. Philip Isherwood, National Medical Director for AppleGate Recovery. "We have found that with the increasing use of not only heroin, but fentanyl, integrating withdrawal management medications and counseling offers our patients a real opportunity to start meaningful recovery, and return to feeling normal."
AppleGate Recovery medical providers utilize buprenorphine and buprenorphine compounds, also known by the brand names Suboxone® Zubsolv®, Bunavail® to help patients control withdrawal symptoms and cravings for opioids. In addition to proven medication services, AppleGate provides counseling, lab services and case management. Medication-assisted treatment provides these services to address the causes and consequences of addiction while medication addresses the withdrawals and cravings that come with physical addition.
Located at 2000 Audobon Avenue, Suite C, Thibodaux, LA 70301, AppleGate Recovery Thibodaux is open 9am-5pm Monday through Thursday and 9am-4pm on Fridays.
