Artemis International, Specialists in Berryceuticals® and leading US supplier of European black elderberry extracts, partners with Nature's Way®

FT. WAYNE, Ind., Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Elderberry made headlines during the 2017-18 season, with everyone

from physicians to naturopaths to consumers across the country giving this immune-boosting dark berry a thumbs up. As the 2018-19 season begins to ramp up, manufacturers are developing new and convenient delivery systems using elderberry to meet consumer needs, and Artemis International, the leader in dark berry extracts under the Berryceuticals brand, is stepping up to help companies meet those demands.

A leader in dietary supplements, Nature's Way has launched a new and convenient Elderberry Single Shot Immunity Syrup, just in time for school and a heavy travel season, using Artemis International's unique elderberry extract as a key ingredient.

As part of its national promotion focused on elderberries, Nature's Way is highlighting the Austrian source of the premium Haschberg variety elderberries used in the production of Artemis' solvent-free, membrane extraction process for their elderberry extracts. Sambucus nigra (or elderberry) is harvested in the Styrian regions of Austria. Famous for their grape growing, this land is mineral and nutrient-rich. The Haschberg variety has higher levels of flavonoids in the elderberries.

"On the heels of the incredible boom in awareness around elderberry, we are excited about working together with our elderberry extract supplier, Artemis International, in continuing to spread the word about the quality of the elderberries that are used in creating the Nature's Way® Sambucus supplements," says Nishant Shukla, Brand Manager for Nature's Way®.

Artemis International's goal is to further develop research to support boosting the immune system year-round. In addition, Artemis International continues to support the global research surrounding the preventive care efficacy of their elderberry extract in addressing these ongoing health challenges.

"Many people think of immune support as a 'winter season' concern" says Leslie Gallo, VP of Operations and Sales. "Artemis International is working hard with our product partners to boost awareness of immune health as a foundation of overall human health, and provide high quality, effective, dark berry extracts to support that."

Artemis International was on the forefront of the boom in elderberry during the 2017-18 "boost your immune system" season. Forecasts for 2018-19 indicate that the demand will only increase, according to Gallo. "We have seen a dramatic increase in product development with new and innovative formulations and delivery systems. Artemis has been working closely with product development teams for years but this year has seen extraordinary growth in activity."

Artemis International will be exhibiting at Supply Side West in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 7-9, at booth #2073.
