NORWALK, Conn., Feb. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The SeniorCare Investor will host an important webinar — Another Record M&A Year? The Deals, the Numbers, the Records in Seniors Housing & Care — on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 1:00 PM ET

From a valuation perspective, the seniors housing and care market reached a peak in 2016 and into early 2017. While the operating headwinds have been strong in the past year, acquisition activity has been equally as strong. The number of announced acquisitions set a new record, but the dollar amount of those acquisitions will be far from the record. That means there are more smaller transactions and fewer of the mega-deals. So, if issues of occupancy, labor, reimbursement and rising interest rates are having little impact on acquisition activity, what is it that these buyers see in this sector, and does it mean even more explosive activity coupled with higher values in coming years?

Steve Monroe, Editor of The SeniorCare Investor and moderator of the panel, will pose relevant topics such as: What are the latest valuation metrics from our 2019 acquisition reports, from price per bed and unit, to cap rates, revenue multiples and operating margins; Who is buying and why; Who is selling and why, and whether it is a good time to sell; Whether the big REITs can be expected to be big players in the market again; What the role of private equity has been in changing the landscape of the acquisition market.

Short-term interest rates have more than doubled in the past two years, but that has still not dampened the acquisition appetite, nor has it impacted values, yet. Find out from the experts what they think about future rate increases and when or if they will have a significant impact on cap rates. Plus, you will have an opportunity to ask the experts your questions during the live Q&A. Our panel of experts will include Ben Firestone, Senior Managing Director, Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors, Kendall Young, Executive Vice President, Seniors Housing, HCP, Inc., and Blake Peeper, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Bridge Seniors Housing & Medical Properties.

If interested in this topic, then don't miss the live webinar on February 14, at 1:00 pm ET. If unable to attend the live webinar, a recording with be available the following day.
