TUKWILA, Wash., May 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PROSHRED® Seattle will be hosting its annual "Shred Cancer" event on Saturday June 8, 2019 from 9AM to 12PM in partnership with The American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR). Local residents are invited to bring confidential documents to be securely shredded while raising funds for cancer research. The event will be held at PROSHRED® Seattle's location - 830 Industry Drive, Building 20, Tukwila, WA 98188.
Individuals may bring boxes of paper, file folders, notepads, and envelopes to one of PROSHRED® Seattle's location and the material will be shredded right in front of them. The event is free to attend and a suggested donation of $5 per box will go directly towards funding AICR's cancer research and education programs.

Started in 2014 on National Cancer Survivors' Day, the PROSHRED® community has contributed over $176,000 to cancer research to date. This year, AICR and PROSHRED® Seattle have set a goal to raise $50,000 for research.
