Much to the delight of the organisers, Stasis came up with a predictive model to optimize inventory stocking and appropriate allocation of resources based on disease trends across the district to take proactive actions addressing unusual scenarios. "Our data science team was founded with the goal of democratizing proactive healthcare across our country. This award is fantastic validation of our ability to bring data science and artificial intelligence to meet Indian healthcare goals. We strive to accelerate an era of data driven patient care," said Mr. Dinesh Seemakurty, CEO, Stasis. "It is a proud moment for Stasis to have got an opportunity to showcase capabilities in the space of AI and Machine Learning that is expected to change the healthcare delivery system into a more proactive care model going forward. The team has done a great job in cracking the 48-hour long Datathon by providing practical, scalable and cost-effective solutions to issues anticipated in a mass project of such a great magnitude. Competing with talent from across the country just added to the spirits," said Mr. Aditya Patel, Head of Data Science at Stasis. The Health Festival was organised by the AP government, AP MedTech Zone and Elects Techomedia Pvt. Ltd. The AP Government has been committed to improve the health status and quality of life of the people and the event was organised to focus on health issues by reducing disease burden, creating an enabling environment, influencing direct and indirect health determinants such as nutrition, water, sanitation and other factors like education and employment. The Health Festival also saw participation from Health officials of other States, UNICEF, WHO, World Bank and representatives of other international organisations. About Stasis - Stasis, founded in 2015, is a health technology startup that aims to make proactive healthcare accessible, affordable, and universal. Stasis builds cloud-connected vitals monitoring solutions for vulnerable and high-risk patients who require regular observation without one-to-one nursing care unlike in the ICU settings. The system enables live streaming of patient vitals on central tablet and the mobile app. Since the data is stored on the cloud, the same can be retrieved at a later stage for making clinical decisions. In 2016, Stasis raised $5 million in its seed investment round led by RTP-Healthcare Ventures. The round also saw participation from Wonder Ventures, Techstars Ventures, among others. After strengthening its presence in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad, Stasis aims to expand its presence in the other parts of the country including Tier 2 markets and has plans to enter the home healthcare segment this year.
