Amil Participacoes S.A. is the largest managed care organization in Brazil, according to the ANS, currently assisting over 3 million beneficiaries in the states of Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Parana and the Distrito Federal.

-- Total membership stood at 3.14 million at the end of June 2009, 3.7% up on the 2Q08 and approximately 1% higher than the 1Q09. -- Adjusted Operating Revenues totaled R$ 1,190.4 million in the 2Q09, 9.0% up year-on-year and 5.3% higher than the previous quarter. In the first six months, adjusted operating revenues came to R$ 2,321.3 million, 11.1% increase over last year. -- Adjusted EBITDA came to R$ 70.3 million in the 2Q09 (6.0% margin) and R$ 189.8 million in the 1H09 (8.2% margin). -- The Medical Loss Ratio for healthplan membership was 69.3% in the 2Q09, (66.6% in the 2Q08) and 66.6% in the first half (66.2% in the 1H08). -- The Company posted an adjusted Net Income of R$ 39.8 million in the 2Q09, 49.6% down year-on-year, and R$ 118.6 million in the 1H09, 29.7% less than the same period last year. -- Net Cash (cash and cash equivalents less financial debt) closed June 2009 at R$ 1,029.3 million.
