Akron General to Host Heal Ohio Conference to Showcase Wound Healing

AKRON, Ohio, Sept. 11 Heal Ohio 2008: Showcasing WoundCare Competencies, is a one-day multidisciplinary conference hosted by AkronGeneral Medical Center and sponsored by the Northeastern Ohio Consortium forWound Healing Research and Education. The conference will be held on Thursday,October 2, 2008, at the Sheraton Suites Akron/Cuyahoga Falls, 1989 FrontStreet, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, 44223.

The vision of this first-ever statewide event is to foster innovativecollaborative activity and team building with basic science and clinicalinnovators and potential sources of commercial support. By leveragingscientific expertise, commercial opportunity and resources, an Ohio Wound CareAssociation is envisioned to help facilitate moving promising projects intothe marketplace for the benefit of the patient. The objectives of theconference are to provide attendees with an advanced educational opportunityand to actively participate in further developing a wound care center ofexcellence "cluster" in Ohio.
