Air Methods Corporation Confirms Fatal Accident in Wisconsin

DENVER, May 11 Air Methods Corporation(Nasdaq: AIRM), reported today that one of its EC-135 twin-engine helicoptersserving the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison,Wisconsin crashed Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. CST after delivering apatient to a hospital. The pilot, flight physician, and flight nurse receivedfatal injuries. The wreckage was found today around 9:15 a.m. CST near LaCrosse, WI.

The helicopter was equipped with satellite tracking and disappearedshortly after lifting off following refueling. Senior company officials,Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board(NTSB) representatives have arrived in the area or are in transit. The NTSBis investigating the accident with full cooperation and support from thecompany.
