The new 138-bed hospital will include 106 medical/surgical beds,20 obstetric beds and 12 intensive care beds, along with a Level II traumacenter. Patient rooms will include the latest amenities such as sleeper sofasfor overnight family stays, flat screen TVs, wireless Internet access and roomservice. The 300,000 square-foot hospital will be one of the area's largestemployers and is intended to meet the growing healthcare needs of thecommunities in and around Will County.

Nearly 2,000 area residents took advantage of a sneak peak inside thestate-of the-art facility at a community celebration on Sunday, November 18,2007.
The hospital will employ approximately 600 area residents includingmanagement positions, nurses and other clinical and support staff. Thearchitectural design combined with the latest medical advances and thesoothing patient amenities reflect the whole-person mission for whichAdventist Midwest Health is known.
