The Access eForms user interface now seamlessly integrates into the MEDITECH Expanse Enterprise Health Record, which greatly improves the workflow of Halifax Health clinicians by ensuring they never have to leave their MEDITECH experience.
In addition, Access expanded its Halifax Health footprint beyond the provider's Registration department to include MEDITECH integrated and tablet-enabled electronic Informed Consent solutions for the hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Lab and its Anesthesiology department.

Halifax Health clinicians can now launch the Access Informed Consent paperless solution seamlessly from within the MEDITECH Expanse electronic health record. Instead of making a clinician leave the EHR experience to use the Access application, the user's Expanse experience is virtually extended. With this seamless transition, most Halifax Health clinicians don't know they've switched from MEDITECH Expanse to the Access solution.

Access also expanded its presence at Halifax Health to include the clinical setting. The hospital now has the electronic Informed Consent solution in its Cardiac Catheterization Lab and in its Anesthesiology department. Previously, the hospital had the Access technology only in its Registration department.
As part of the growth to other parts of the hospital, Halifax Health clinicians are using tablets to present Informed Consents to patients for their consumption and electronic signature capture.
