Srikanth Vemulkar, Uncle of the patient: It is essential to understand the early signs of cerebral venous thrombosis (a type of stroke) because sometimes this happens gradually. Some of the prominent signs including unexplainable frequent headaches, dizziness, difficulty in speaking, weakness or numbness in the body are some of the signs which must not be ignored.
Soon after experiencing the symptoms, one must approach a doctor without a delay because the treatment is considered more affective within 3 hours after the onset of the symptoms.
Biju Nair, Cluster COO, Gleneagles Global Hospitals, Bengaluru: The pain of losing a loved one is certainly immense; however, it is good to see that humanity prevails and because of the family decision of the patient, 8 more patients have received hope to live a normal life. This is a voice to all the families who have lost their loved ones to donate their organs and spread a ray of hope to patients who are suffering from End Stage Disease.
